Motorola has stated that the first-generation Moto X, which was launched back in 2013, should obtain the Android Lollipop update in just a few weeks.
“I’m glad to announce that we’re beginning TestDrive in both the United States and LatAm. If all goes nicely we should begin full deployments in a number of weeks,” stated the company’s senior director of software product management David Schuster.
It is worth mentioning that the Lenovo-owned firm has already introduced that the device would not be getting Android 5.0, rather it’ll be up to date directly from KitKat to Android 5.1. The news comes just some weeks after Motorola started soak testing the Android 5.1 up to date for the device in Brazil.
