’sodes: review and short description

Howdy! ‘sodes is a casual, fun way to listen to a podcast every now and then. There are no download queues or deceptive audio. Just tap a show, tap an episode and listen.

••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

? Visual design that you don’t have to think about. – Made for people who want podcast listening to be a regular habit.

? No account required. – Everything happens right on your device.

? No downloads to manage *. – Tap on an episode and it will start playing.

? Handy home screen. – The app’s “home screen” provides easy access to your most favorite shows, current episodes, and some of the most recent unplayed episodes.

? Multiple color themes. – Switch from the light to the dark theme by swiping with two fingers, as if turning off a light switch. Do it again to switch to the Campfire Ultra Low Light Goodness theme (useful for moms and dads rocking babies to sleep at 3am).

? Large, tapable buttons. – The player screen has extra large buttons with sufficient distance. This should help anyone who has a hard time tapping the right button quickly (walking, jogging, cooking, etc.).

? Keep Screen Unlocked – A special for commuters: if you keep your phone in a dashboard mount during long car trips and you don’t have or cannot use Bluetooth controls, try enabling the “Keep Screen Unlocked” option in the settings. This will keep your screen unlocked as long as the codes are open AND it is playing (not paused) AND the device is connected to a charger. Why? Because then you can quickly pause or skip without the hassle of unlocking your phone.
