Android Oreo Update Now Available For BlackBerry Motion In North America

The licensee of the global BlackBerry brand, TCL, has had a lot of and rightly, to start his first round of Oreo Android public beta tests a few weeks before the release of Google stable Pie goodies for Pixel cameras and the Essential Phone.

But the designer, manufacturer, and distributor based in China from last year BlackBerry KEYoneas well as 2018 KEY2, did a decent (and unobtrusive) job of optimizing Android 8.0 software for slightly lower profile BlackBerry Motion. Believe it or not, the all-touch 5.5-inch handset officially receives Oreos live the same week as the Keyone, at least for the BBD100-2 model in North America.
The usual recommendations apply, including patients, regular manual checks for updates, a backup of sensitive data (just to be sure) and a small cleanup of storage space. The BlackBerry Motion has obviously made its commercial debut in both Canada and the United States Android 7.1 Nougat, probably watching a massive goodies pack weighing now north of 1GB.
Unfortunately, if you are suddenly interested in purchasing the unlocked stateside mid-ranger, we are sad to inform you both. Amazon and Best buy are all out of stock. The latter retailer seems to suggest that the move will not come back in stock either, although it may still be a good idea to keep an eye on the old e-commerce platform. Or you can simply wait for the inevitable sequel.
