Apple Adds New Actors To The Morning Newscast

The full cast of Apple's morning TV comedy is taking shape after two other actors sign the project. Billy Crudup and Gugu Mbatha-Raw joined the cast of the unnamed Apple TV series, in which Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston are listed as executive producers and stars of the series.

Earlier this week, it was revealed that Steve Carell had joined the series to play one of the leading male presenters. Kerry Ehrin was selected to act as showrunner with Mimi Leder as director and producer.

Crudup, best known for his role in Almost known and Big fish, according to a report by diversity, Mbatha-Raw, who appeared in Disney's Beauty and the Beast Live action film, Hannah Shoenfeld, will portray a "talented and charming" bookie for the morning news.

The Morning News project is more advanced in production than most other Apple TV shows. More than 20 TV shows are currently under development and are associated with big names like Steven Spielberg, Octavia Spencer, Kevin Durrant, Ronald D. Moore, Night Shyamalan, Damien Chazelle and more.

Apple has not yet announced the release date of its TV shows.
