Entering your local Apple Store and getting a battery exchange for your iPhone is very cheap at the moment. But by the end of 2018, this temporary pricing will be introduced and destroyed in response to last year's debate on battery weakening as the iPhone's age goes up.
Before this change, 9to 5MacApple updated the battery page from 1 January with new fee. If you replace the warranty battery in 2019, the following costs will apply.
- iPhone XS, XS Max, XR, X: $ 69
- iPhone 8, 8 plus, 7, 7 plus, 6 s, 6 plus, 6, 6 plus, SE: $ 49
- All other target models: $ 79
IPhone users who are covered by warranty or subject to AppleCare + are not required to pay the cost of replacing the batteries.
Battery health, a software feature implemented by Apple after injury, is currently out of beta version of iOS 12 and provides a percentage estimate of the overall condition of the battery. If this number falls below 80%, it is usually time to replace the battery.
