As Hurricane Florence approaches the Carolinas around the world, Apple is preparing to help relief efforts.
Apple CEO Tim Cook requested that employees, first responders, and everyone on the road of hurricane to keep their safety while the storm is expected to hit North Carolina. Mr. Cook also revealed that he just donated one million dollars to the American Red Cross in anticipation of the needs of the victims of Florence.
Carolinas is in our mind. For employees, first responders, people living in hurricanes in the Philippines, please ensure safety. To support the affected people, Apple donates one million dollars to the Red Cross.

Since it is expected that Hurricane Florence's relief efforts and reconstruction efforts will cost more than $ 60 billion, Apple's donation is just a single drop. Experts predict that Florence could be one of the ten most expensive hurricanes in the world.
Last year, Apple paid $ 5 million for relief efforts to Hurricane Harvey and Irma. The company also donated one million dollars this summer to support victims of huge forest fires in northern California.
