Apple shipped 2.5 million iPhones to China in March 2020, according to government data (via Reuters). This is a three-fold increase from the previous month, when only 500,000 iPhones were shipped, making it one of Apple’s worst months in China.
The number of iPhone shipments is recovering, but continues to decline year after year
Stores reopened earlier this month as the country broke its coronavirus lock, triggering the increase. Despite the recovery, iPhone shipments fell 20% during the month from the same period last year.
