Are you looking for the Best Upcoming PC Games? Several renowned studios are launching incredible suites and games. The PC is probably the best place to play games, especially if you like the best graphics and the best performance without the compromise often encountered with the PS4 and Xbox One. It’s also an incredibly flexible platform with various components that allows you to freely test hardware, whether it’s the latest graphics card or processor you want to test.
Best Upcoming PC Games
With so many new games to follow, it’s easy for some to go unnoticed. So we decided to present you this list for the Best upcoming PC games.
Crysis Remastered
A complete remaster of the original PC-busting Crysis is officially on its way to consoles and computers :updated. Details remain scarce, but we know that the remaster is focused on the original single-player campaign. And then there is the list of graphics options the remaster will contain, including “high-quality textures and enhanced art assets, an HD texture package, temporal anti-aliasing, SSDO, SVOGI, state-of-the-art depth fields, new light settings, motion blur, and parallax occlusion mapping, and partial effects will be added where applicable. Further additions such as volumetric fog and light shafts, software-based ray tracing, and screen space reflections provide the game with a major visual upgrade”.
Serious Sam 4: Planet Badass
Partly funded by Humble and first unveiled in the prehistory of 2013, Croteam confirmed that we would see more of Serious Sam 4. From what we’ve seen so far, this is the real thing: the teaser trailer shows the great man riding a motorcycle through an idyllic landscape before making a mindless goon, well, mindless with a shotgun. There have been some delays along the way, but we are now getting close to the launch.
Mafia: Definitive Edition
Mafia: Definitive Edition is a complete remake with extensive dialogue, background stories, extra cut scenes, all-new gameplay sequences, and more. We don’t know exactly how much extensive content we are talking about here, but since it is called a remake rather than a reimagining, it is safe to assume that it will still be faithful to the 2002 original. Definitely one for the fans of the crime games out there.
Baldur’s Gate 3
It’s official: Baldur’s Gate 3 is real. “If you like D&D, you’ll be happy,” said the developer in our Baldur’s Gate 3 Larian interview. The original has revitalized the CRPG and made the now-iconic isometric Infinity Engine famous. That said, it’s not a one-way street in terms of inspiration: Baldur’s Gate 3 will shape Dungeons and Dragons 6th edition. We already know that the accomplished Belgian studio can use D&D to improve their games with the exquisite Divinity titles, so color us excited for the Early Access release.
Star Wars Squadrons
Star Wars: TIE Fighter released 26 years ago, so the upcoming spaceship battler Star Wars Squadrons is well behind schedule. EA’s space combat sim features a dual-perspective single-player campaign, plus a couple of multiplayer modes that should be familiar to anyone who has played the recent Star Wars Battlefront 2. All action takes place from a cockpit perspective and players can choose from different classes of Imperial and New Republic ships, ranging from Interceptors to Bombers.
DIRT 5
A next-gen Dirt game is on its way, and while the current iteration of the dirty racing games series (eh, not like that) is still dazzlingly beautiful, we are happy to beam another help into our corneas. Details are light on Codemaster’s latest version, but just about every terrain is included and the series will enhance its roster of rally cars with classics such as the Ford Escort Cosworth and Lancia Stratos, shiny new sports cars like the Aston Martin Vantage and Porsche 911 GT3 and even some sprint cars.
Watch Dogs Legion
So the next game in Ubisoft’s hacktivist series turned out not to be Watch Dogs 3. Instead, we get Watch Dogs Legion, which sends you and your brigade of tech-savvy operators to a post-Brexit London in what looks like a darker turn for the franchise. But don’t worry, you can share the misery with all NPCs of Watch Dogs Legion, all of which can be recruited and played with unique animations and voice lines.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
Rumor has it that it’s been constant in recent years, but Ubisoft officially takes its shank ’em up open-world stealth series to the Viking era. Players take on the role of a male or female Eivor, the leader of a Viking clan settling in England after fleeing the war and a lack of resources in their native Norway. Dual-wielding axes are possible, you can set up a tattoo salon in your Viking village, and yes, you can lead raids using a longship.
Cyberpunk 2077
CD Projekt, coming out of their hit series The Witcher, is developing their next release, Cyberpunk 2077. Little is known about the upcoming RPG story, but what has been announced is that the game will take place in a distant future. Similarly, open-world play will likely promise a wide variety of quests and campaigns to players, although this is purely speculative at this stage.
