Huawei is likely to launch the brand new Mate 20 series of smartphones later this year. In previous years, the range potentially includes Mate 20, Mate 20 Lite and Mate 20 Pro. The devices have been on the Internet quite frequently. More recently, the specifications of upcoming handsets have been flight via a firmware file, followed by TENAA list Mate 20 Lite. Now, the images of the so-called Mate 20 Lite appeared online, giving us a preview of its design before launch.
According to the images, the Huawei Mate 20 Lite will display a notched display. The cut seems to include two selfie shooters and a headset, just like the recently launched Huawei Nova 3i. As for the back, the phone is likely to have two cameras and a fingerprint sensor, all stacked vertically in a band. The ridges at the back appear to be curved to improve ergonomics. While the images further reveal the handset in the black and gold color variants, the leak does not reveal its specifications.
However, previous leaks and rumors suggest that the Mate 20 Lite will feature a 6.3 inch LCD screen with a resolution of 2,340 x 1,080 pixels. The handset should be equipped with a 2.2GHz Kirin 710 octa-core processor, coupled with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. For photography, the rear cameras should accommodate 20MP sensors + 2 MP, while a 24-megapixel shooter and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor should adorn the front. As far as the software is concerned, the Huawei Mate 20 Lite can run the latest Android-based P-based EMUI 9. A 3.650 mAh battery should turn things around.
Huawei has not yet confirmed whether and when he plans to launch the Mate 20 Lite with his other siblings. However, rumors are circulating that phones could come to life in September.
