Blizzard has officially announced the Overwatch 2 at BlizzCon of 2021. The release date of the game is unclear. That said, we know that Overwatch 2 will offer content opposing players to the enemy, unlike its predecessors, as well as the fact that it will continue the same story that Blizzard Entertainment started with the first Overwatch.
Thesequel will feature new characters, maps, and game modes. The first new map available will be Toronto, marking the first Canadian map of Overwatch. Overwatch 2 will also feature Sojourn, one of the founding members of Overwatch, also a Canadian. During the revelation, Jeff Kaplan, vice president of Blizzard, said that we would know more about Sojourn at BlizzCon.
Overwatch 2 will allow players to increase their characters and customize them to give each hero a unique look. The “Push” mode is designed to be a competitive mode offering six fights against six, similar to the original Overwatch. It is unclear if those who already own Overwatch will have to pay the total price of Overwatch 2. Blizzard revealed that it would be possible to transfer the player’s progress from Overwatch to Overwatch 2.
