Best Kodi Skins | Make Kodi Awesome Tutorial and Steps
So here we discuss the Best Kodi Skins | Make Kodi Awesome, and after a lot of requests from our users here is a guide about Best Kodi Skins | Make Kodi Awesome.
In this post I am rounding up the best Kodi skins for Kodi 18 and. Here you can find the Kodi skins for Fire TV, FireStick 4K, FireStick, Mobiles & Computers and all Kodi-supported devices.
Kodi is an excellent media center. Makes it easy to view your favorite content. Live TV, Sports, Movies, Shows, it gives you access to everything through a wide range of video addons. I’ve been a Kodi user since the time I didn’t even remember. What I love most about Kodi is that it can be customized in a number of ways and a Kodi skin is one of the most efficient ways to do that.
The standard Kodi Skin called Estuary is fine. But it’s too businesslike. I mean, it’s not really interesting. Luckily you can make it more interactive and happen with these top Kodi skins. The Kodi skins not only enhance the cosmetic appeal of the interface, but they also make it more user-friendly.
If you’ve used Kodi Builds, you’d know that the builds also give a visual makeover to Kodi with their own skins. In fact, several Kodi builds even use some of these skins. But, the problem with the builds is that they install a lot of add-ons and repositories and make Kodi bulky. If you have all your favorite add-ons, then all you need is a skin that quickly transforms the user interface and enhances your experience.
How to Install Kodi Skins
Before we start, give me the quick steps to install a Kodi skin. It takes no more than 6 steps. Here’s how you do it:
1. Open Kodi Settings
2. Click Interface
3. Click Skin on the left, and then click Skin on the right
4. Choose your skin. If the desired skin is not in the list, click Get more…
5. Click the skin you want to apply and wait for it to download and install
6. Click Yes when asked

Best Kodi Skins
Below is the list of the best Kodi Skins that work on both, Kodi Leia and Krypton. There are several common skins between the two platforms, I’ve picked the ones that matter. The others just weren’t good enough.
Aeon Nox is probably the best Kodi skin right now. After a minimal design idea, this skin makes Kodi incredibly easy for you. It is a wonderful departure from the everyday, standard Kodi Skin estuary. This skin takes the minimalist approach and makes the Kodi interface visually appealing without being flashy. The simplicity of the layout allows you to quickly familiarize yourself with it. There is no wonder why many Kodi builds use this skin.
This skin is available as Aeon Nox Silvo on Kodi 18 Leia with only small differences with Aeon Nox for Kodi. For example, the home menu bar is positioned a little higher – more toward the center of the screen – in the version. The Silvo version feature every standard background, while the version does. However, you simply choose from a set of backgrounds that are preloaded with Aeon Nox.
Aeon Nox allows various adjustments and configurations to suit the skin to your preferences. It is lightweight skin and therefore does not result in noticeable performance changes, even on low-spec devices such as FireStick. It is indeed beautiful to have skin.
Bello is another minimal Kodi skin that offers you a fun new way to experience your favorite media center. Because Bello has minimal skin, you won’t find many bells and whistles. However, if you are looking for an interface that means user-friendly and easy on your system, Bello is the Kodi skin to choose.
This skin is available as Bello 7 on Kodi and Bello 6 on Leia. Again, there is not much to choose between the two versions, except for certain insignificant cosmetic variations. For example, the version has a standard purple gradient background, while K18 comes with a grice-black background. Bello set you to both new background colors. But Leia might not let you change the background. In addition, both versions of Bello do not have the ability to add custom background images.
Bello does not support a mouse and asks you to turn it off in the Settings. Although you are still communicating with the mouse, the large mouse-not-allowed pointer is not very convenient to use. That’s why this skin is more suitable for touch and remote-controlled devices, such as FireStick.
However, Bello has good skin to have and it deserves to be part of our list of Best Kodi Skins.
This is another nice looking skin for Kodi 18 and Kodi I’ve been using for quite some time. Box features a panel design with an organized layout. The skin has a professional look and a futuristic look. The panel design makes it a user-friendly and intuitive skin.
The home the skin’s screen organizes a category at a time on the display. Movies, TV shows, music and live TV are the default categories. However, you add or remove categories from the skin settings. In addition to the streaming categories, you’ll also have access to tool options such as Add-ins, Settings, Pictures, Favorites, Customization, etc. from the main screen.
Although this Kodi skin doesn’t let you add image backgrounds to the main screen, you change the background color. There is a large palette to choose the colors from. In addition to the colors, you can customize this skin in many other ways. For example, you can play Now on the main screen, play video in the background, change menu labels, and more.
All in all, Box is one of the best Kodi skins for a great Kodi experience. Give it a try.
Over the years I have tested and used many Kodi skins. Many of them looked promising, but not all of them stood the test of time. Confluence, on the other hand, has been around for a long time and it’s easily one of the best Kodi skins you’ll find. It is no surprise that Confluence is used in various Kodi builds such as Durex (now defunct) and Xanax (Durex replacement).
Confluence is not really minimal, but it is also not too flashy. So, if you are looking for a skin that is middle-ground between too simple and too ostentatious, you should give Confluence a try.
The home menu is placed closer to the center than the bottom and over runs from left to right of the screen. You’ll find important categories on the menu bar, such as videos, music, add-ons, system to get you started immediately.
The version of this skin comes with a preset background. The Kodi 18 version has no background. However, you do choose a new background image from the local storage.
You adjust the skin in many other ways. Adds or removes the default setting home menu categories. You add the Play Now visualization to the background. And very importantly, it allows you to add the add-on shortcuts to the desired home menu categories. This allows you to choose your favourite video add-ons directly from the home Screen.
Confluence is a decent skin for all kinds of devices such as a mouse, touch, remote controlled.
It wasn’t long ago when I stumbled across this Kodi skin. I was absolutely certain that it will be part of this list of Best Kodi Skins. Let’s talk about the home screen first.
The home Menu features an elegant block design pinned to the bottom of the screen. It looks like the interface of a TV operating system. The tiled design not only looks futuristic and visually appealing, but also adds more functionality to the skin. The overall design of the skin is so neat, crunchy and simple, that you get right to work.
The home menu includes videos, movies, TV shows, music among other categories. You add or remove categories from the skin settings. In fact, you even change the labels of menu items. The skin also adds a separate background image to each category. In addition to the background and home screen you also customize library, header, colors, osd screen view (OSD) and more.
Pellucid is one of the most minimal Kodi skins around. The home This skin’s screen shows only the naked essentials, but enough to get you moving quickly. Videos, music, games, photos are the only standard categories. At the bottom you will find the Settings icon, which allows you to dig the skin deeper.
The skin doesn’t have enough adjustments. Although, there are some configurations that you would be interested in. For example, you can add new menu items to the home Menu. You even delete the existing one or rename it. If you run Pellucid on a device with low specifications, you even opt for a low CPU power mode.
The home The screen background is dynamic and chooses images from the default folder. You change the default folder to display your personal images.
Pellucid isn’t exactly my favorite, but I use it every now and then. It’s a good change from the normal.
Revolve is the most unique Kodi skin I have ever seen. As the name of the skin suggests, features a disc around whose axis rotates the various interface elements. On the home screen, you will find the following rotating menu items: Videos, Music, Photos, Games, Weather, Favorites, etc. You include new items or remove the existing items from the skin settings.
Although the skin supports the mouse, it is best used with touch, keyboard or remote control. It offers a great navigation system for FireStick and other remote-controlled devices.
This skin offers several customization options. Change or display the background images. You also blur the background images to highlight the menu items. The skin also lets you play the background video.
With Revolve, you choose the custom background image for each item from the local store. By default, it chooses its own images. You also change the color theme.
If you are looking for a completely new and exciting way to use Kodi, I think nothing could be better than Revolve. That’s why it’s included in our line up of top Kodi skins.
Rapier is one of the most customizable Kodi skins you’ll find. You change the look and feel of this skin in different ways. Change the color theme completely from default to flat, orange, or red. With the skin you also change the color of the menu items. In fact, you also change the skin font.
The home screen shows movies, videos, TV shows, music, add-ons, etc. You add new custom categories or hide the existing categories from the skin settings. You even change or hide the submenu items.
There are no backgrounds by default. However, you download and set up a wide range of background images and fan doctors.
The home menu is aligned to the bottom edge of the screen and you select items with left and right navigation. If there are submenu items related to the main menu item, the net above the home Menu.
Rapier is a beautiful, minimal skin that is suitable for both beginners and experts.
This FireStick inspired Kodi skin is a great choice for remote-controlled devices like FireStick, Android TV Boxes. It supports touch functionality too, but that’s not that great. A mouse makes it worse. So, use it with a TV device to make the most of it. And don’t forget to turn the mouse off at Settings > System > Input
FTV is extremely minimalist skin. So much so that it doesn’t even display date and time on her home Screen. It has a vertical menu bar on the left that emphasizes the selected items and blurs the rest. You might as well look at a blank screen if the selected menu item doesn’t have widgets to display.
Readability can be a bit of a problem. Although the highlighted items stand out, the items that are not selected do not contrast well against the background.
There aren’t many customization choices. You add or remove the main menu items and their widgets. The skin also lets you customize the closing menu and turn off/enable Fanart. The custom background is not available. You don’t even change the skin theme and colors.
Don’t expect much from FTV. However, if you are looking for remote friendly navigation and eand lightweight interface, FTV is one of the best Kodi skins to have.
It is the panel design of this Kodi skin that makes it stand out from the crowd. I’ve tried several Kodi skins, but there’s nothing quite like Xperience1080 when it comes to interface design.
The home menu is around the top and lines up various items, including TV, movies, TV shows, music, photos, settings, etc. The widgets for each item appear under the home Menu. These widgets are laid out in different tiles that together form a panel.
Xperience1080 is highly customizable. You home menu items to your liking. You even customize each tile for each home menu item. With the skin you choose a custom name and icon for each tile. In addition, change the tile type from default to Video add-in, Music Add-in, Program Add-in, etc. You even have a addon to each tile.
Xperience1080 works smoothly on all Kodi devices. However, it does not support mouse functions. If you’re using it on a computer, navigate, and communicate with the keyboard. The skin works even better on remote-controlled devices.back to menu ↑
Kodi Leia skins only
There are some excellent Kodi skins that are specially designed for the latest Kodi Leia version (also older Leia versions). Here is the list of the top Kodi skins for Kodi 18 or newer versions.
It is the same skin used by many Kodi builds. Aura features a tile-based design that not only makes it visually attractive, but also highly functional. The home menu items are placed horizontally on top, and the related categories, widgets, and other submenu options appear on the rest of the screen in a tiled format.
The smooth, uncluttered interface makes Aura a user-friendly skin. Customize the skin to your liking by exploring numerous configuration options available within the skin settings. You new custom home menu items. You select a custom background from the local store. There are many effects and colors to use.
Aura offers smooth performance on a variety of devices. I’ve used it on FireStick and Android TV without any significant problems. It had to be the part of this list of the best Kodi skins.
Aeon Tajo is a Kodi 18 only skin with a feeling of freshness. When you click on the home Screen, the skin plays a light, soothing music for you (which you, of course, turn off in skin settings). The skin you also use your personal M3U playlist for background playback.
It is a neat, minimal skin with large menu items around the bottom. This makes the skin incredibly easy to use. Photos, music, movies, TV shows, live TV, videos, system are the primary home menu items with their respective submenus. You always delete a main menu or submenu item that you want or even add a custom item. In addition, you choose a custom background image and a custom label for each item.
With so many options to customize the look and feel and functionality, minimal and user-friendly interface, Aura is definitely one of the best Kodi skins out there.
When I first looked at it, I thought Quartz was an unfinished skin – a work in progress. Soon I realized that it was rather a raw skin that leaves a lot up adapt to you. It provides a basic structure, but for the most part, you have to build it up from scratch. If you’re new to Kodi, you might want to try other Kodi skins on our list. However, if you were an experienced user and familiar with how the Kodi skins are customized, you might like it.
The home menu is placed from left to right edge in the middle and accommodates limited options. Movies, TV shows, music, photos, add-ons and KODI are the only items. With the exception of the last two, Add-ons and KODI, the other menu items have almost no submenu. In the KODI menu, go to Settings and start building up the submenu items.
Turn any existing main menu category on/off and rename it. However, you do not add a new category. Given that it’s such a basic skin, I think the developers should have allowed at least as much.
You have a create link up up to 5 add-ons for each category. When these add-ons are paired, these add-ons appear just above the menu bar. You also add custom background images from the local storage.
Quartz is not the biggest Kodi skin, but it is also not so bad. You can give it a try.back to menu ↑
Kodi Krypton Skins Only
A small but significant percentage of users still use Kodi. That’s why I thought it would be a good idea to up some-only Kodi skins too. These skins have not yet been re-encoded for Kodi 18 Leia. If you’re still streaming on Kodi Krypton, try these top Kodi skins.
Chroma is one of the most popular Kodi skins for the Kodi platform. This skin is a cocktail of high resolution images, lots of colors and user-friendly design. This skin seems to work better on a TV screen than the small screen devices. In fact, navigating with touch or even mouse is not easy. Although, it teams up up very good with remote controls.
The home menu bar is horizontal and prominently large with large thumbnails. You switch to a vertical menu from the skin settings. But, it will be deprived of the graphics and reduced to purely textual display. There are plenty of ways to adjust this skin. You add new items to the menu or remove the existing items. You choose from different works of art, add fanarts and effects. You even select a new color scheme.
Chroma is not the most user-friendly skin. However, if you get the hang of it, you even like it. That’s why I’ve decided that I’ll include it in our list of the best Kodi skins.
Titan was once one of my favorite Kodi skins when I used Kodi. Since I have migrated to Kodi 18 Leia and it is a single skin, I can no longer use it. If you are still using krypton, I would recommend you give this Kodi skin a try. What I really liked about Titan was the modular design that could serve many options to you on the home screen without being chaotic or cluttered.
The different tiles, although interconnected, are nicely organized on the home Screen. You choose from the default categories, including Music, Images, Videos, YouTube, Add-on browser, and Settings. When you click a category tile, the related submenu items appear at the bottom. You home screen layout from the skin settings.
Titan also offers numerous customization choices. From customizing the layout to adding new menu items, from changing the skin color scheme to including new background images, you do it all.
This Kodi skin works great on all Kodi devices, including FireStick and Android TV Boxes.
Before you start streaming with Kodi Addons / Builds, I want to warn you that everything you stream on Kodi is visible to your ISP and government. This means that streaming copyrighted content (free movies, TV shows, sports) can get you into legal trouble.
Kodi users are strongly advised to connect a VPN while streaming. A VPN for Kodi will bypass ISP restriction, government surveillance, and geo-restriction on popular add-ons. I always connect ExpressVPN on all my streaming devices and I suggest you do the same.
ExpressVPN is the fastest and most secure VPN. It comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. This means that you use it freely for the first 30 days and if you are not satisfied with the performance (which is highly unlikely), you ask for the full refund.
Note: We do not encourage the violation of copyright laws. But, what if you end up up inadvertently streaming content from an illegal source? It is not always easy to see the difference between a legit and illegal source.
So, before you start streaming on Kodi, here’s how to Get VPN protection in 3 easy steps.
Step 1: Include the ExpressVPN subscription Here.
Step 2: Click Here to download and install the ExpressVPN app on your device.
Step 3: Click the Power icon to connect a VPN server. That’s all. Your connection is now secured with the fastest and best VPN for Kodi.
