For the price, the Philips GoZero Sparkling Water Maker is a machine that looks and makes seltzer that is surprisingly beautiful. Even though the seltzer tasted good and had lively bubbles, it went flat faster than the seltzer from more expensive tabletop soda makers we tried. After about five minutes, it went from crackling to sizzling.

Even though this Philips soda maker looks simple and classy, it's not very easy to use because you have to twist the bottle and CO2 tank in at odd angles. If you don't already have one, you'll need to buy a CO2 tank separately. When comparing prices, be sure to account for this extra cost: Cylinders cost around $30, but you can trade empty cylinders for savings that will bring the price down to around $15.
