How to Delete Workout on Apple Watch – Guide
Your Apple Watch captures virtually your every move, which is often great for tracking your walk, run, exercise, and other activities. It then saves this information to your iPhone, which you can then input into any number of third-party training apps to keep a detailed account of your exercise routine – but sometimes the data can be wrong or saved accidentally. Unfortunately, it’s easy to store incorrect fitness information. A kid accidentally typing a workout or a friend borrowing your Apple Watch can easily mess up your categorized workouts, which is why you can delete a workout from your Apple Watch.
If you own an Apple Watch, you should also have the Fitness app (formerly known as Activity) on your iPhone, which provides a comprehensive report of all the physical activities performed on your watch. In Fitness, you can check your progress with activity rings, training goals, calories burned, standing goals, and of course, your workouts. If a wrong workout is added to Fitness, you can go to the official app on your iPhone to remove it. Tap any option to delete your workout. If you want to remove the workout and all associated data, select Delete workout and data. However, if you want to remove the workout but keep the associated health data, which helps with activity ring progression and others, then select the Delete Workout Only option.
How to delete a workout from the Activity app?
Launch the Activity/Fitness app on your iPhone. You will see a list of exercises in the history tab. However, you cannot remove the workout from there. To do this, tap on the Exercises tab located at the bottom of the screen. Note that you will only see the workout tab when you have enough data stored in the Activity app to predict your trends. If you don’t see the exercises tab, you will see the list of exercises in the summary tab (see screenshot below). Follow the steps below to delete a workout from the Activity app.
