Hello guys in this guide, I am gonna tell you about iOS 11: Scan QR Codes in the iPhone Camera App. So read this article, step by step so you may understand it in a better way.
The iOS Camera app will finally be able to recognize QR codes within iOS 11, as discovered yesterday during the developer-focused beta launch of Apple’s new mobile operating system. On current iterations of iOS, users must find and download a third-party QR code scanning application if they want to use their iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to scan a code.
When iOS 11 launches in the fall, the Camera app will offer its own QR scanning feature for all users. Some beta users have taken to Twitter to get a glimpse of the feature in action and it looks expectedly simple: open the Camera app, point the iOS device at a QR code and tap the drop-down list to act on it.

Although originally intended for businesses, QR codes have long been used by consumers to quickly get information, go to a website, or download an app. Businesses love QR codes because they make it easy to provide information to consumers, while consumers often find QR codes useful because they can be read just by pulling out a smartphone. Some Android devices have a built-in QR code scanner, but iOS users have been forced to rely on third-party apps.
However, that changes in iOS 11 as Apple’s latest mobile operating system includes built-in support for QR code scanners in the iOS Camera app. Here is how to use it.

First, make sure you’re using iOS 11 or later like this one feature is not available in previous versions of the operating system. As of the date of this article’s publication, iOS 11 is still in beta but will be made public on September 19, 2021. Once you’re on iOS 11, open its camera app and swipe to its Photo or Square recording modes. Then simply assign your camera to a valid QR code image.
If your iPhone can read the QR code, you will see a notification appear at the top of the screen with the offer to direct you to the website or app that the code points to. Just tap that notification to launch Safari or the App Store. Some third-party QR code scanners have even more features like the ability to read additional barcode types, but most users will be happy with iOS 11’s built-in scanner.

Scan the QR code feature turns on by default when you upgrade to iOS 11, but it’s easy to turn off if you don’t want it to interfere with your photos (for example, if you’re really just trying to take a photo of a QR code).
