Smartly search for WhatsApp files
The best thing about WhatsApp is that it saves media files in a certain format. If you notice, the image files have IMG[Sequence]-WA ***. Jpg as a suffix and the same goes for videos too. So our job would be to search for these files in Photos and delete them manually.
Step 1: Open Photos and type WA in the search bar, this will bring up up all photos with the above image name.
Step 2: Long press a photo to select and without lifting your fingers, drag down until you’ve selected all the photos.
Tap the Delete icon and that’s it! For now, this seems to be the only solution.
Pro Tip Likewise, you can also delete screenshots from Google Photos. If your phone saves screenshots with a certain suffix, search with the same keyword and show them the trash can.

How to Turn off Automatic backupup out in Google Photos
Now that you’ve cleaned up up Google Photos, you have to make sure it doesn’t get messy again. The best way to do this is to turn off WhatsApp sync.
To do this, swipe right to go to the Settings menu and once there go to Device Folders> WhatsApp Pictures and toggle the Back button up & sync button from. Do this for the other WhatsApp addons like WhatsApp Videos and GIFs and no WhatsApp image will bother you again!
If you want a few photos to be kept forever in Google’s immense labyrinth of photos, we’ve got a handy little trick for you.
Go to you phone’s Gallery app and select the images you want back upAfter making your selections, tap the three-dot menu in the top right corner and tap Move to album. Select Camera or Camera Role as a location.

Again, both photos and media files hide it phone memory. So it makes sense that photos that are already backed upup is made up do not eat up unnecessary space on your phone
