Would you like to add a link to your Instagram story?  We have good news and bad news.  (And more good news then!) The good news is that although Instagram has stopped sliding,up, you can even add links to stories with Instagram link stickers.  The bad news is that you still need 10,000 followers or a verified account to gain access to the link stickers.  Which brings us to OTHER good news: we have an easy hack to add a link, even if you don't have access to the link stickers yet!

After a major new update, all accounts (regardless of number of followers) can now add links to Instagram Stories.  Previously this feature has been limited to accounts with more than 10,000 followers.  Learn how to add links to Instagram Stories with the new link sticker below.

## How to    add links to Instagram stories

Now that the condition for accounts to add links has been removed, this feature is accessible to all Instagram users.  The company recently announced the global launch of Link Stickers, so it may take a while for it to be added to all accounts.  The link can be pasted anywhere on Instagram Stories.  Follow these simple steps to add links to your Instagram stories.

Go to the Instagram app and swipe to the right.  The option to post a story shows up.  A user can post a photo or video as a story.

Once the photo is inserted, swipe up to open the sticker tray.  The Link option should show up just below the GIF and next to the poll widget options.

Click on the Link option and paste in the URL you want to add to the story.

The link then shows up like any other sticker in an Instagram story.  This link sticker can be moved and placed anywhere in the story.

This sticker link is clickable and, once clicked, takes the user to the published URL.

Users can post the story to their accounts by clicking on Share option.
