## How to block ads on Android phone - Guide

Without a doubt, ads can be annoying.  When completing vital work, unwanted advertisements can be a pain.  However, the ad deactivation procedure has been greatly simplified in recent years.  There are several third-party programs available that ensure you don't see ads when browsing.  Even third-party programs, however, cannot filter all ads.  The good news is that using a simple function called Private DNS, a user can now disable all browsers. tricks and even ads that come with apps.

### Find Private DNS Settings

Find Private DNS options on your phone.

This option can be found under the Network and Connectivity banner.

If you can't find it manually, go to the Settings search bar and enter 'Private DNS'.

### Select 'Private DNS Provider Hostname'

Private DNS feature, when tapped, will show the user three options:

Outside

Self

Private DNS provider hostname

Choose the last one and see a column to enter the DNS hostname provider.

In the column, just type 'dns.adgaurd.com' and click save.

Your phone will now use AdGaurd's DNS and block ads from reaching your device.

Your phone it should now be completely ad-free in browsers as well as in some apps.  However, you may still see some blank spaces in place of ads that have been blocked.
