Fortunately, blocking phone numbers on your iPhone is easy, and you should make the most of the feature.

Here, we'll describe the steps to block a call on your iPhone so that you no longer receive calls, FaceTime calls, and messages from that number.

You can prevent unwanted calls by blocking certain people and sending unknown and spam calls directly to voicemail.

## Block voice calls, FaceTime calls and messages from certain people

At the Phone application , perform one of the following actions.

Tap Favorites, Recents or Voicemail.  Touch   next to the number or contact you want to block, scroll down and tap Block this caller.

Tap Contacts, tap the contact you want to block, scroll down, and tap Block this caller.

## Manage your blocked contacts

go to settings  > Phone > Blocked contacts.

Tap Edit.

## Send unknown and spam calls to voicemail

go to settings  > Phone and tap any of the following:

Mute Unknown Callers: You get notifications of calls from people in your contacts, recently placed calls, and suggestions from Siri.

Call blocking and identification: Turn on Silence unwanted calls (available on some service providers) to mute calls identified by your service provider as spam or potential fraud.
