## How to Change Account Email Address on Disney+ - Guide

You may have heard from others that you need to change your password from time to time.  It doesn't change as often as once a week.  However, if you can think of replacing it with a new one at least every two or three months, it will be very helpful in terms of your account privacy and security.  Changing your password has many benefits.  It keeps your account safe and gives you some privacy.  If you want to keep things safe with your Disney+ account, you'll need to periodically reset your password and update your email address if necessary.  This is especially true if you reuse passwords;  Ideally, you should have an exclusive for each service.

Some Disney+ subscribers found this out the hard way when their credentials were leaked by third parties due to password reuse across the services.  You may also need to update your Disney+ email address.  Maybe you've switched to a new email provider or want to switch from an old email address to something more professional.  If you wish to change your Disney+ email address or password, you must have access to the email address currently registered on the account.  That's because you receive a one-time password to verify your identification.

## Changing your account email

Launch Disney Plus on your preferred device.  We will use the web version of Disney Plus.  Visit disneyplus.com.

You will need to log into your account using your current email and password.

Click the Profile icon on your device screen.  The icon should be a circle containing your current profile picture.

From the drop-down list that appears, select the option: Account.

You will be taken to a new page containing your current account information.  At the top of the page, your email account will be listed.  Click on the change email or edit icon that appears next to the email address listed.  The edit icon is a pencil inside a circle.

You will be taken to the change email page.

Enter the email you want to change to in the New Email text field.

In the password text field, enter your current password.  Do not use a password you would like to change.  This feature is placed as a verification of the change in the email.

Click on the Save button button after completing the previous step.

You will be taken back to your accounts page.  A small notification that the email has been changed will appear.

To verify that the change was successful, you can check the account details.  The details should now include your new email as the account holder.  You should also receive an email from Disney Plus in both emails.  In the future, use your new email address to log into your Disney Plus account.
