## How to Change Country on Play Store in Android - Guide

Did you know that Google Play Store apps, games and other content may vary by country?  So if you move to a new country, change your country in the Google Play Store to see content specific to that region.  In addition to locally exclusive entertainment such as movies and books, important services such as banking apps may be restricted to your country.

However, keep in mind that you can only change your Google Play country once every 12 months.  So, if you decide to change, be sure, as you won't be able to come back until after a year.  Also, you will not be able to use Google Play credit from your previous country, so please use up that credit beforehand if you don't plan on going back there.

## How to    Change country in Play Store on Android

Open the Play Store app on your Android device.

Tap your profile picture in the top right corner of the screen and choose Settings.

Select General, followed by Account and Device Preferences.

In the Country & Profiles section, you will see your name next to the current Play Store country.  if your phone detects that you are currently in a different country, you will see a Switch to [region] Play Store option below.

Under Switch to [region] In the Play Store header, tap one of the options to add a payment method for your new country.  This varies by region;  most should at least have the option to add credit or debit card.

When tapping the new method, a warning will appear.  Review the notice and press Continue if you are in agreement with the terms.

Follow the instructions to add a new payment method for the country you are switching your Play Store to.

After switching countries, you can now browse the Play Store for that region.  Change can take time up up to 48 hours to take effect.
