## How to Convert a JPG to PDF on Windows 10 PC - Guide

If you have a JPG image – for example, if you need to convert a photo to a PDF file, there are several ways to do this.  One of the easiest is to use a website (there are many) where you can upload your image (or a selection of images), convert it to PDF and download it to your computer.  These and other ways we've shown you are all free and you don't need to download or install any software, although you may prefer this option if you need more control over how images are displayed.  You might not know it, but Windows 10 has everything you need to get your job done.  It has what is called a PDF printer.  And that's what it looks like, it “prints” any document to PDF files.

If you open the print settings in an application that can print, you will see a list of printers, including one called Microsoft Print to PDF.  When converting JPG to PDF, you have two advantages: You can compress the PDF file and thus get a smaller file size than JPG while preserving the original quality of the file in PDF format, which is not the case with JPG.  Also, you may want to convert image files to PDFs, as many scanned pages are often saved in JPG format, which is not suitable for reading.

## How to    Convert a JPG to PDF in Windows 10

Double-click the image you want to convert to PDF.  The image should open in Photos, the default photo viewer app in Windows 10. If it doesn't (probably because you changed the default app), open the Photos app and select the photo you want to convert by clicking on the file name.

To convert more than one JPG at a time, open the Photos app and on the Collection tab, click the Select button button in the upper right corner before clicking to select multiple files.  When selected, a checkmark will appear in the top right corner of photos.

Click the printer icon in the upper-right corner of the Photos menu bar or use the keyboard shortcut Control + P.

In the Printup window, click the down arrow on Printer to open a drop-down menu.  Select Microsoft Print to PDF and click Print.

In the File Explorer window, make sure that PDF is selected as the Save As type.  Rename the file or keep the name as is, choose a destination for the file and click Save.
