## How to Disable Proximity Notifications and Vibrations of HomePod mini on an iPhone - Guide

With the release of iOS 14.4, Apple has added a new function to the HomePod mini that provides haptic feedback when the iPhone 11 or 12 is close to the speaker, making it easier to stream music from one device to another.

After installing the iOS 14.4 update, moving the iPhone closer to a HomePod mini causes the iPhone to vibrate faster and faster as it moves closer to the speaker, and the HomePod mini controls appear on the screen.  If you leave the HomePod mini on a table or in another area where it is often next to your iPhone, proximity notifications can quickly become annoying.

## How to do this

Open the Settings app.

Tap “General”.

Tap “AirPlay & Handoff”.

Turn off “Transfer to HomePod”.

With this feature, your ‌iPhone‌ will no longer try to transfer music or media to your ‌HomePod mini‌ when it is close to the speaker, preventing haptic feedback and the music transfer interface from showing up.  Haptic vibrations and transfer features are limited to ‌HomePod mini‌ and ‌iPhone 11‌ and iPhone 12 models, but the option can also be turned off on other iPhones to prevent the default transfer interface from being received up.
