Facebook is a colossal social media app.  It has users in the billions.  The app allows a user to share posts in their feed.  You can post photos, stories, videos or compose for your teammates to read.  They can post stories that last 24 hours to share their minutes of life with their peers.  While using Facebook, you must change the posts you've shared.

## How to    Edit a Facebook Post in Easy Steps

### Log in to your Facebook account

The first step is to log into your Facebook account.  Type the Facebook URL (https://www.facebook.com/) into your browser's address bar and press the Enter or Enter key on your keyboard or click.  You can also click here to be redirected to the main page.

At the top right of the Facebook homepage, you will see two text boxes.  Enter your Facebook registered email address or phone number in the left text box and your account password in the right text box.  You then click on "Login" button with the cursor or press the Enter or Return key on your keyboard to proceed to your Facebook account.

### go to your timeline

Once you're signed in to your account, go to the timeline page.  The timeline page lists all your posts and shares chronologically, from most recent to least recent.  You can access your Facebook timeline in two ways:

Click on the profile icon at the top left of your News Feed.  The profile icon is the button with your profile picture and facebook name.

Access the profile button inside the dark blue menu bar at the top of the Facebook website.  It is similar to the icon mentioned above, but this time it only displays your first name instead of your full name.

### Find the post you want to edit

Once you click on any of these profile icons, you will be redirected to the timeline page.  The page may take a while to load as the timeline is compiling all the posts and shares you've made on Facebook.

Once your browser has completely loaded the page, you can scroll through all of your posts until you find the one you want to edit.

### Click Edit Post Button

To start editing the post, click on the settings button.  It is the icon with three consecutive horizontal dots and is located in the upper right corner of the post you are editing.

Then select the "Edit post" option from the drop-down menu that appears after clicking on the settings button.

### Change your post caption

Clicking the “Edit Post” option makes Facebook open a new window.  In this new window, you'll see that the caption of your original post is now inside an editable text field.  You can then type the changes you want to make into this text box.

### Remove or upload new images

You can also edit or delete a photo on Facebook without deleting the entire post.  First, you hover over the image you want to delete with your cursor.  Then you will see an "X" button appears in the upper right corner of the photo.  Click on this "X" button to delete the image.

To upload a new or replacement image, click on “Photo / Video” button below the text box.  A window of your image folder will appear and from there you can choose and upload your replacement photo.
