From there, you can repeat the message, and when it's resent, Telegram will put an "edited" tag to let everyone know about the update.  This one feature is available in both mobile and desktop.  You can edit your messages on Telegram, whether in a group or private chat.  However, editing is only available for messages sent up two days ago.  After this period, you will only be able to delete the chat message.

## How to    Edit sent messages on Telegram

### on android

Launch the Telegram app from your home screen or app drawer and log in to your account.

From the list of your chats, open one of your conversations.

Tap one of the messages you've sent and select Edit from the options.

Alternatively, you can tap and hold a message to select it, then tap the Edit icon at the top of the screen.

Enter the new message in the text field at the bottom of the chat window and tap the blue checkmark to save your changes.

Launch the Telegram desktop app and log into your account.

Open one of your conversations from the chat list on the left side of the screen.

Right-click a message and click Edit when the menu appears.
