What you might not know is that you can customize the items in this menu.  The Send To menu was a nice and useful tool feature on Windows for generations.  It allows you to send, copy or print a single file to a specific location, device, application or other item.

But you might not think about using the Send To menu because it might contain items you don't use or items you don't want.  This problem can be easily fixed by customizing the Send To menu as per your needs.  Let's take a look at how this works.

## How to    Edit the Send To Menu in Windows 10

Inside the File Explorer you have a context menu called “Send to”.  This allows you to send files to certain programs, such as your desktop, another folder, or your email application.  You can also add apps and folders to this menu, allowing you to quickly send files to apps like notepad, folders, or drives that you use regularly.

Right click on a file or folder in File Explorer and you will find 'send to' in the pop-up menu.up.

Hold down the Windows key on your keyboard and press the R key. Type shell:sendto in the run dialog

Now all you need to do is create your shortcuts in this directory.  You can click and drag apps out of the start menu

You can also create shortcuts to drives.  Maybe the D: drive?  An external drive?  Or flash drive?  Right click on the folder, go to 'new' and click 'shortcut'.

Enter the location of your drive.  If you're not sure, click 'browse' and select your drive.

Click 'next'.  Enter a name for your shortcut, click 'finish'.
