The IPP driver is an Internet printing protocol that allows communication between the computer/mobile device and the printer/print server. If the Microsoft IPP class driver does not work or prints in gray/monochrome instead of color, you will need to reinstall the printer driver. You must remove and reinstall the current printer driver. After upgrading to the latest operating system, many users reported that Microsoft's IPP class driver does not provide color. To be completely accurate, the driver only offers grayscale and monochrome options.

While IPP stands for Internet Printing Protocol, it acts as a bridge between your computer and the print server. Still, there is no need to worry if you are facing the same issue.

If you connect your printer to your Windows device using an IPP connection, you may need Microsoft's IPP class driver. The “Microsoft IPP class driver is not installed” means that the IPP class driver is missing from your Windows device or you have not installed it correctly.
