Edge canvas is customizable feature consisting of edge panel and edge lighting.  You can customize it and have the information or actions you want available with just a swipe and tap. Edge screen acts as a side panel to help you access the most important items you need, including a shortcut to eight important apps or app pairs of your choice, the ability to take screenshots, access the area transfer options and much more to do.

## Edge Screen as feature on any android

Go to Google Play Store and download Edge Screen app using the link.  It is a free ad-supported app.

After opening the app for the first time, you will have to give the first permission to the app.  Just tap 'App may appear on top' to enable app overlays.

Now, tap the key corresponding to 'Allow view on other apps' to enable the same.

You will now return to the Edge Screen app UI and you can tap 'Next' a few times to see the features from the app or directly tap 'Skip' to start using the app.

Now, you can see a small stick on the right edge of the screen.  Just swipe left on that stick to see some of the most popular apps that can be opened with just a tap.

You can swipe left to right across the panel to reveal more options available with Edge Screen.

You can also tap the settings gear to change some useful settings or enable and disable specific panels.

The following edge screen app is imperfect and loads with ads.  However, you can still use it if you are looking for an alternative to Edge Screen on your Android phone.  You can get rid of ads with in-app purchases, and if you plan to use this app for a long time, get rid of ads.
