The app is called “Material Notification Shade” and it allows you to install Android notification panel on almost any phone, not just from Xiaomi.  As a result, if your OEM implementation has stifled your experience, here is your time to break free.  Sorry, I got a little carried away, but I'm really worried about you.

This app has been tested on a variety of phones, including those running Honor's MIUI 8, MIUI 9, and EMUI.  It is also compatible with all these phones.  While we like having a Stock Android-like notification panel on our Redmi phonewe lost good functionality like “Copy OTP” after downloading this app.

The process for setting it up up is surprisingly simple – download the “Material Notification Shade” from the Play Store.

Once installed, light it up up and grant the necessary permissions on the landing page.

So you just need to activate the toggle located at the top, and that's it.

It is worth mentioning here that the app is not compatible with Android Oreo, but yes, this is certainly not an issue if you are reading this article.

In the app, you can also customize pretty much everything about the panel, including the background slider and accent colors.
