## How to Hide/Unhide Excel Worksheet Row and Column - Guide

There are several ways to hide and show sections and rows in Excel.  One thing you probably won't know: you can hide and show more than one section or column simultaneously, regardless of whether they are non-contiguous.  Even better, if they are close together, you can use Excel's grouping tool.  Below I have illustrated some efficient methods to hide and show your Excel columns and rows.

### Hide/Show Excel Worksheet Row and Column Headers from Excel Ribbon

To hide Excel worksheet row and column headers from Excel ribbon, follow these steps

Click the "View" tab on the Excel ribbon.

Go to the "Show" group on the "View" tab of the ribbon.

Clear the "Titles" checkbox to hide the Row and Column titles of the Excel worksheet.

Check the "Titles" checkbox to show the missing hidden Excel worksheet Row and Column titles as explained in the image below.

As you can see in the image below, Excel worksheet gridlines are now hidden.

### Hide/Show Excel Row and Column Headers in “Excel Options” Window

Click the following link if you are unfamiliar with the Excel Options dialog window You can get the same results as explained in the above method using the “Excel Options” window.  Follow the steps below to hide Excel row and column headers or to show missing hidden row and column headers.

Open the “Excel Options” window in Excel Backstage View.

Open the “Advanced” Panel in the “Excel Options” window by clicking on it.

Scroll down to “Display options for this sheet”.  Make sure the relevant worksheet is selected under the heading “Display options for this worksheet”.

Uncheck "Show Row and Column Headers" checkbox to hide Excel worksheet row and column header

Check the "Show row and column headers" checkbox to show the Excel worksheet row and column headers as explained in the image below.

Click OK" button in the Excel Options window.
