By stacking the playlist, you can watch IPTV with a huge number of channels from one side of the planet to the other with Kodi's powerful live TV.  M3U is a registry project for featuring playlists of images and sounds by storing the locations of different media documents.  PVR IPTV Simple Client Kodi addon does not come with live TV content and video sources.

As the name suggests, this plugin is just a client that can process the information you need to enter and configure first.  There are many sources of m3u files on the Internet.  For example, on GitHub's “IPTV” page, you can find a free and totally legal m3u list as well as EPG URLs.  If you search the internet for live TV listings and m3u files, you will quickly notice that there are some websites and providers that charge for these types of files.

### How to    Install PVR IPTV Simple Client on Kodi

Open the Kodi app and click on the Settings option on the home screen.

It's the gear icon in the top left corner

In the next window, click on Add-ons.

Now, open the Install from repository option.

If you see the window with the list of repositories, click on Kodi Add-on repository (only appears if you have installed at least one third-party repository)

If you don't see the Kodi Add-on repository, skip to the next step (step 5)

Scroll down a bit and choose PVR Clients on the next screen.

In the following window, scroll down a bit and click on PVR IPTV Simple Client.

Click on the Install button button on the next screen (bottom right).

Please wait while the Simple IPTV PVR client is installed.

### How to    to define up and use PVR IPTV Simple Client

Go to Kodi settings again and click on Add-ons.

Open the My Add-ons option on the next screen.

Open PVR Clients in the following window.

You should now see the PVR IPTV Simple Client you just installed.  Go ahead and click on it!

Now click on the Configure button button in the background.

In this step, we will add the M3U playlist URL

Make sure the General tab in the left menu is selected

On the right click on the M3U playlist URL option

Enter the playlist URL for your IPTV subscription

If you also have an EPG URL, click on the EPG Settings option in the left menu.

On the right, click on XMLTV URL option and enter the EPG URL of your IPTV service provider

Click OK on the right to proceed

Choose OK when this Needs restart prompt appears.

go back to home Kodi screen and click the Power button button in the upper left corner.

Click Exit on this pop-up menuup to close Kodi.

Reopen the Kodi app.

You will see that the PVR manager is starting up notification in the upper right corner

When the update is complete, you will see another notification showing the number of channels loaded

At the home Kodi screen, highlight or select (don't click) the TV item in the left menu

You will see recently played channels on the screen

On the right, click Channels at the top to view the channel list and start streaming.

If you also imported XMLTV EPG previously, you can click the button Guide option to watch TV Guide and stream channels directly from guide

In the EPG window, click the menu icon (4 horizontal lines) in the lower left corner to bring up up the menu.

Here are the menu options you can use:

Group: Choose the category you want to group the channels in the EPG by

Sort by: Choose from Number, Name and Last Played

Order: Choose Ascending or Descending
