## How to Install Mobdro on Roku - Guide

However, Roku supports hidden channels in addition to the official apps.  However, Mobdro, one of the best and most downloaded third-party Android apps, is not included.  But if you ever thought about streaming the Mobdro Roku version, this section is about it.  As Roku is a highly secure streaming media player, its security cannot be broken like Android.  While there is no official way to use Mobdro on Roku, there is a workaround.  Since Mobdro is an Android app, you have to download it on Android devices and mirror it on your screen to stream it on Roku.

Mobdro cannot be installed directly on Roku as it counts as a third-party Kodi addon to Roku.  However, you can stream content for free.  You can just install it on your Android phone and tablet and mirror your mobile screen for Roku.  You can use Mobdro as a Kodi addon to stream your favorite content on your home screen. The Mobdro app is only available on an Android platform.  Although it is not available on the google play store.  No version is available on the Roku store and Roku does not support third-party apps.  But there is no reason to worry as there are a few ways you can download Mobdro on Roku.  We're going to do this using screencasting.  Simply put, it means that you are going to make your TV screen project content from some other device.  To use Mobdro on Roku TV, follow the steps below:

Use your Android smartphone to open the official Mobdro website.

Now download the latest version of the application.

Nowadays, smartphones have a built-in streaming option.  But if your phone doesn't have one, you can download an app for it.

Go to Google Play Store and search for casting app for Roku and download a recent casting app.

After that, make sure your smartphone and Roku are on the same WiFi network.

From Roku's home page choose the Settings option.

On the screen that appears, click on System.

Then choose the Screen Mirroring option.

In the right panel, there will be three modes for this.  Warn, always allow and never allow.  Prompt means that the device trying to connect to your Roku will get a notification just like you would log into a password-protected Wi-Fi hotspot.  On the other hand, Always Allow will allow any device this privilege, just like an open Wifi hotspot works.

Select Prompt or Always Allow according to your needs.

Now, use your device's default settings or the app you just installed to search for your Roku.

After detecting your device, select it and proceed to your smartphone screen on your TV.

Run the Mobdro app on your Smartphone and it will be mirrored on your TV.
