## How to link Yee­l­ight to Alexa - Guide

Yeelight is a smart lamp launched by Xiaomi that is cheap and doesn't require a hub to function properly.  You can integrate it with home automation devices like Homekit, Alexa or Google Home.  This allows you to use your smart device with voice commands.  Recently, many customers complained about various problems they encountered when using Xiaomi Yeelight.  In this article, we'll cover some of these common issues and How to fix them.

## How to    link Yeelight White lamp to Amazon Alexa.

We need to add Yeelight skill to Alexa.  To do this, open the Alexa app and from the main menu select 'Skills'.

In the skill search bar, type 'Yeelight'.  In the results, select 'Yeelight'.

Then tap 'Enable'.  You will be taken to a login page for your Mi account.  Enter your Mi account login credentials and login.

After logging in, you will see a message saying Yeelight has been successfully linked to Alexa.

Go back to the Alexa app.  A prompt will appear asking if you would like to discover devices.  Tap 'DISCOVER DEVICES'.

In this example, we should discover the Yeelight lamp.  Upon discovery, you should be able to see the Yeelight LED lamp listed under devices.

And we're done!  Now test by saying “Alexa, turn on the yellow light”.
