## How to Make Widget Stack on iPhone’s Home Screen - Guide

Even after the release of iOS 15, one of my favorite iPhones features is still the ability to place widgets on the home screen.  If you haven't installed it yet, you should prepare your iPhone and download iOS 15. After that, you can customize your home screen as you like, use the new pseudo-application drawer called the Application Library and experiment with widgets all over the home screen.  Apple's subscription widget is called the Smart Stack and it combines several app widgets that you can cycle through on your own. ### adding widgets

Tap and hold an empty area on the screen until your apps shake and show minus symbols

Tap the plus sign in the upper left corner and you will bring up up a menu of existing widgets

Tap on the widget you want to add.  Swipe left and right to choose the size and shape of the widget.

Tap "Add widget"

After adding the widget, tap anywhere on the home screen to exit edit mode

### Create a widget stack

Select a widget for your home screen as described above and place it wherever you want.  Select the next widget you want to stack (you can stack up to 10) and save it to your home screen

Long press on the widget so you can move it around the screen and place it on top of the first one.  Note that the widget must be the same size and shape;  you can't, say, put a small widget into a medium sized one.

### If you want to change the position or remove any of the apps on the stack

Press and hold the stack and select "Edit stack"

Press the three lines next to each app to change its position on the stack

To remove the app, swipe it to the left
