As we all know, Signal has become the most important app and trending app among users nowadays because it allows user to chat and use like any other social media app.  And we all know that most Signal users can link their account to most devices, and due to some privacy issues, if users want to disable linked devices in Signal, it can happen how it can be done.

Linking devices in Signal is quite simple and straightforward.  In Signal, linked devices are like synced devices - they can access and share common data.  You can link your Signal account on your desktop and mobile or tablet.  For example, if you link your desktop to your mobile phone, you can exchange messages and continue the conversation from any of the linked devices.  you can link up to five secondary devices, including tablets, laptops, and desktops, to your Signal account.  However, it still can only be controlled from a primary iPhone or Android device.

## Disabling the Device on Signal of an Android Device

Now for that, the user has to first open the app and then click on the 3 dots menu option in the top right corner and then select the settings option from the pop-up menu.up.

Now on the settings page, the user must choose the linked devices option and the page that will open after that will show the user the entire list of linked devices.

Now the user has to tap on the name of the device that the user wants to disconnect and then press the OK button button in the pop-messageup displayed after recording the device name.

And that's all now that the device has been deactivated by the signal account.

## On iOS device

In this case, the user must first open the application and then click on the profile icon option which is present in the upper right corner.

And in the menu the user must choose the linked devices option and the opened window will show the user the list of linked devices.

Now the user must choose the edit option in the upper right corner and then click on the red minus sign that will unlink the device from the account and that's it, the device is unlinked from the account.
