## How to Remove Bloatware From Android Device - Guide

Computers, tablets and phones are usually associated with efficiency and speed.  Unfortunately, this is not always the case.  Sometimes you may find that your device is behaving inexplicably slow or that suspicious apps are running in the background.  Bloatware (also known as Potentially Unwanted Programs – PUP) is basically software that slows down your device.  It can refer to programs that are installed but not used and still take up lots of space, memory and battery life.

Furthermore, these unused software are sometimes huge, making them more of a liability than a reliable tool.  It usually hides in the background, so sometimes it's not as easy to spot as we'd like.  This does not mean that bloatware is a type of malware.  However, some bloatware downloaded from malicious websites or accidentally downloaded together with third-party software may contain malware.

Unless you've rooted your phone – a risky process that will void your warranty – you can't always delete these apps from your device's storage.  However, with a few simple steps, in any phone running Android 4.0 or later, you can at least get rid of the bad software from the apps menu and prevent it from running in the background.

### Removing Bloatware Apps on Android Without Root

If you have a rooted Android device, you need to follow this one guide to remove pre-installed apps from your smartphone.

First of all, you need to enable the developer option to enable by going to Settings -> About Phone -> Build number (Tap the build number 7-10 times and your developer options will be activated).

Now you will see the developer option in your settings, tap on it, scroll down and enable USB Debugging.

Now you need to download and install the Debloater tool on your Windows PC that will allow you to remove system apps from your device.

Now connect your Android device with a USB cable to your PC and wait for the tool to detect your device.

Once the device is detected, you will need to check the apps currently installed on your device, including system apps.  Tick ​​the apps you want to remove.

You need to click on Apply button and this will block all these apps from your device and they will no longer be on your device to consume your memory.

Now select the app you want to remove (bloatware) and select the option 'Back up and delete' or 'Delete without backup'.  If you don't want the tool, select the 'Delete without backup' option.

First of all, you need to root your Android phone.

Now install System App Remover app from Google Play Store.

Now launch the application and open the menu.  From there, select the 'System Application' option.
