It was later ported to Linux, macOS, iOS and Android where it is the default browser.  The browser is also the main component of Chrome OS, where it serves as a platform for web applications.  You can add multiple Google accounts to the Chrome browser.  While adding an account to Chrome is easy, we often get confused how to delete it from the browser.

However, deleting a Gmail account from a PC or browser is not as difficult as it sounds.  In case you are trying to delete that old work account you no longer need or want to remove your personal account from your friend's PC, here are some simple steps you can follow.  However, before proceeding with the steps below, we recommend that you backup important Gmail and Drive contents as you will not be able to access your inbox/folder after deleting them.

## How to    remove a Google account from Chrome (iOS and Android)

Tap your profile picture in the top right corner.

At the top is the account you are currently logged into regarding browser bookmarks, browser sync, browsing history and passwords.  Tap on it.

If you want to log out of all accounts registered to your phone, tap Exit at the bottom.  If you only want to exit one, tap the one you want to exit.

Tap Remove account from this device and the account will be removed.  Now go back and choose the account you want to browse.  Or tap Add Account to add a new account.

## How to    remove a Google account from Chrome (desktop)

Click your Chrome profile picture in the top right corner and your profile box will pop down.  At the bottom, click the Settings gear on the right.

In the next box, you will see the two accounts connected.  Go to the one you want to remove, click on the three vertical dots on the right and choose Delete.
