## How to Restore an iPhone from an iCloud Backup - Guide

When you switch to a new iPhone or fix some issues with your iPhone, the first thing you need to do is get content from your old iPhone or recover lost data. Go to Settings > General > Scroll down and tap Reset > Select Erase all content and settings > Enter your password.

Your iPhone will restart.  Follow the instructions to set up your iPhone, including choosing your country, choosing Wi-Fi, configuring up Face ID and setup up a lock screen password.  If you get a huge backup to restore, then it will take a long time to complete the whole process. ## Directly Restore iPhone from iCloud Backup

Go to Settings > General > Software Update.  If a newer version of iOS or iPadOS is available, please download and install it.

Make sure you have a recent backup.  Go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Manage Storage > Backups.  Then check them.

Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings.

On the Apps & Data screen, tap Restore from iCloud Backup and sign in with your app

Tap “Choose Backup” and choose from a list of available iCloud backups.

On your computer, log in to icloud.com using your Apple ID and password.
