## How to Run Windows 11 on an Unsupported Computer - Guide

In case you have a PC with unsupported hardware, you can in any case have the option to move up for Windows 11, but not from Windows Update. All things being equal, you must use a bootable USB streak drive or ISO registry to perform a clean install or set up review physically.

Microsoft will leave the workaround open, however it will not reference it anywhere in the documentation, nor will it be maintained. According to the organization, installing Windows 11 on unsupported hardware will be a possibility for organizations to test Windows 11. However, anyone can do a review at their own risk, knowing that there will be no guarantee of stability system and similarity to drivers.

## Download Windows 11 ISO

You will need to download the ISO. In our tests, this trick doesn't work with the Windows 11 Setup Wizard, doesn't trigger Windows Update, and doesn't fool Microsoft's PC Health Check tool.

On this Microsoft page, scroll down to Download Windows 11 Disk Image (ISO). Open the Select Download drop-down list, choose Windows 11, click Download button, select your product's language from the Choose One drop-down list that appears below, click Confirm, and then click 64-Bit Download. While the 5.1GB image is being downloaded, let's go to step two.

## Edit Windows registry to bypass CPU check

On Windows, click Start and type regedit, then press Enter to launch Registry Editor. Navigate to Computer HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SYSTEM Setup MoSetup by pasting the entire address into the box just below "File, Edit, View, Favorites, Help" or searching the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and System & Setup and MoSetup folders one at a time.

In the right pane, right-click and choose New > DWORD Value (32-bit). Name the value “AllowUpgradesWithUnsupportedTPMOrCPU” without the quotes. Double-click the new value you created and enter 1 in the Value data field. Click OK and close the registry editor.

## Open the ISO in Windows Explorer and start the installation

Has the ISO download finished? Just right click on it and select Open with > Windows Explorer to mount the virtual disk and then double click on the configuration file to start the installation.

That's it! If the registry hack worked, you will soon see a warning message instead of a reject message and will have the option to install Windows 11 without losing your data. Please be aware that Microsoft reserves the right to withhold security updates if you follow this path.
