## How to Set Live Wallpapers on Windows 11 - Guide

Wallpapers that move like an animated video are called animated wallpapers.  They are also known as "live wallpapers".  You can set a live wallpaper as your desktop background in Windows 11 in addition to a still image. If you are bored with traditional static wallpapers, you can make your computer even better by installing Windows 11 Live Wallpapers (also known as Windows 11 Live Wallpaper) and create the effect of a much more attractive desktop and nice to use computer all the time.  Meanwhile, the new Windows operating system is extremely customizable.  You can customize it according to your tastes and interests.  The easiest way to customize your Windows 11 PC is to change your wallpaper.  There are several wallpapers for Windows 11 users to choose from.  Live wallpapers, on the other hand, come pre-installed.

## How to    Set Live Wallpapers in Windows 11

### View live wallpapers

Open the Windows 11 Microsoft store and download the Desktop Live Wallpapers app.

Launch the app and the interface will look like the image below.  Click on the Browse folder button and provide a path of the folder that contains the desired video.

Now the fact is that Desktop Live wallpaper only supports .wmv video format in free version.  To do this, convert your video file format to .wmv.  In this tutorial I used Xillisoft Video Converter for Video Conversion.

Make sure you select the highest possible conversion settings, otherwise the output video will be low resolution and may not look good as a wallpaper.

Check the output video file format.  It must be a WMV (.wmv) file.

Select the video file you want to keep as wallpaper in Desktop Live Wallpaper app.  If you like the ASUS ROG wallpaper shown below, I have provided a download link for it.

### Animated wallpaper

Open the Microsoft Store on your Windows 11 PC and download Lively Wallpaper.  Launch the app and click on any wallpaper you would like to set as your live wallpaper.

If you want to set your own video as your video wallpaper, this can be done by clicking on the More icon located in the left menu.  Select browse and simply select the desired video file.  Unlike Desktop Live Wallpapers app, there is no file format restriction.
