## How to Set Video As Wallpaper On Android phone - Guide

Android users like to brag about how they are more customizable phones are than the iPhone, and are generally correct.  This is a fantastic example: it's not feasible to put video on your iPhone's wallpaper, with the exception of a strict technique that employs Live Photos, but it's simple to achieve on Android with a variety of free apps.  The function is also built into some Samsung phones.  Keep in mind that this is not done by default because playing videos repeatedly on your Home screen would drain your phone's battery faster every day.

## How to    set a video as wallpaper on most androids

If you haven't already, download Video Live Wallpaper from the Google Play Store.

Launch Video Live Wallpaper and tap “Choose Video” on the main screen.

From the list of videos stored in your gallery, select the video you want to use.

Use the control at the bottom of the screen to select the part of the video you want to wallpaper.  You can drag the start and final and use the “Play” button button to view it.

Tap the "View" button button in the upper right corner of the screen – looks like a small square image.

If the aspect ratio is not correct, tap the “Settings” icon at the top right of the screen and tap “Scale Fit”.  Then return to the preview by tapping the “Preview” icon in the top right corner.

Finally, if you are satisfied, tap on “Set wallpaper” at the bottom of the screen.  In the popup, choose if you want to set the video as wallpaper only in the Home screen or not Home screen and lock screen.

Launch the Gallery app and choose a video you want to use as your wallpaper.

Tap the three dots icon in the upper right corner of the screen.

In the drop-down menu, tap "Set as wallpaper".

You are limited to 15 second videos.  If it's too long, you'll see a message asking you to cut the video.  Tap the scissor-shaped “Edit” button in the middle of the screen.

Drag the video editing box until you select the section of the video you want to use and tap "Done".  The app will make a new, shorter copy of the video and store it in your gallery.

Tap “Set on lock screen”.
