There are cases when you want to run two (or more) apps on your smartphone at the same time.  Instead of switching between programs, Android includes a split-screen option that lets you watch two apps side by side on the screen.  If you're shopping for a product on Amazon while checking your email or watching a YouTube video while looking for a location on Google Maps, split-screen mode comes in handy.  Using two apps at the same time certainly has its perks.  Imagine being able to watch a YouTube video while talking about it with your friend on Messenger.

## How to    split screen on samsung devices

To enable split screen on Samsung One UI devices, here is what you need to do -

Slide up at the bottom to open the Recent Applications menu.

Choose the app you want on the split screen and long press it.

Select the Split Screen option.

Choose another app from the Recent apps menu that will appear in split screen.

### Using the Edge Panel

Open the first app you want to use.

Slide out the Edge Panel.

Tap and hold the second app you want to use in split screen view.  Drag it to the bottom or top of the screen.

You can press the Home or back buttons to exit split-screen view.
