## How to Tell If Someone Blocked on Snapchat - Guide

When someone on Snapchat blocks you, you won't be able to see their stories or snaps and you won't be able to send snaps or conversations to anyone. But how would you know if they blocked you in the first place if you don't get any indication from your side? You may be blacklisted if you stop receiving alerts from your account via the iPhone or Android app. However, unless it's someone who uses the app often or talks to you through the app, this is hard to notice. However, if you've started to believe that someone has banned you on Snapchat, there are a few things you can do to validate your suspicion.

## How to Tell if someone blocked you on Snapchat

Here are the top actions you should take to determine if someone has blocked you on Snapchat.

Check your recent conversations. The first big clue that can tell if a user has blocked you is to see if they show up in your chat history. This step is only useful if you've talked to the user who may have blocked you before clearing their Snapchat conversations.

Open the Snapchat app and navigate to the conversations tab by tapping the speech bubble icon at the bottom of the screen to the left of camera Photograph button. If the user you suspect has blocked you isn't showing up on your chat list despite having a recent conversation with them, that's a big clue. However, you still need to go to the next step to confirm the lock.

Alternatively, you may not have had a recent conversation with the user in question, or you may have forgotten that you cleared their history. If this is the case, go to the next step.

Search for your username or full name. If a user has blocked you, it will not be displayed up when you search for them on Snapchat. If they deleted you from their friend list, however, you can find them by searching for them.

It is vital to understand the difference between being blocked and being excluded on Snapchat. If a user has blocked you, you will not find any trace of their account and will not be able to contact them in any way from their blocked account.

If a user deletes you from their friends list, you will still find them in their friends list and you can continue to send them snaps. Depending on Snapchat's privacy settings, however, they may not receive them if they only allow their friends to contact them.

To search for the user you suspect has blocked you, tap the Search function at the top of the screen in the conversations tab or docking tab, marked by a magnifying glass icon. Start typing the username or full name of the user you want to search for up.

If the user shows up in the search results, they will appear under the My Friends label if you are still on their friends list, or under the Add friends label if they have deleted you from their friends list.

If the user you are looking for does not appear up despite looking for exact username, they blocked you or deleted Snapchat account.

Search for the username or full name of a different account. Not being able to find the user you searched for in the last step increases the likelihood that they have blocked you; however, this is still not enough to confirm it. You can confirm that the account still exists by searching for the user of another account. You have two options.

Ask a friend to look up the user on your account.

Log out of your account and create a new account to look for that user.

The first option is the easiest because it means you won't have to do all the extra work involved with signing up. up for a new account. Choose a friend, family member, coworker or other acquaintance who is on Snapchat and is not friends with the user you think may have blocked you. Ask them to search for the user by username (if you know it) or by full name.

If you decide to create a new account, you will have to log out of your existing Snapchat account or download the app to a mobile device if you have access to one. tap the sign Up button to create your account.

Snapchat will ask you to provide your full name, date of birth, username, password and phone number (or email address).

Now go ahead and instruct your friend or use your new account to repeat step two above. If you or your friend manages to find the user account you were looking for, that is enough to confirm that they have indeed blocked you.
