However, here are some workarounds you can use to find out the IP address of a person you are chatting with.  With the IP address, you can easily find out the person's location.

### Tracking Person's IP Address in Facebook Chat Using Command Prompt

First of all, start chatting with your friend whose IP address you want to get and make sure all other apps and background processes are stopped.

Now press Win + R from your keyboard,

Now type cmd and hit enter.

Now, in the command prompt that appears, type netstat -an and press enter.

Now write down the person's IP address.

Now you need to check that IP address to know the real location of the person which you can check at http://www.ip-adress.com/ip_tracer/.

### Method: Creating tracking link to track anyone's location

Firstly, create a free hosting account on any of these sites:-Hostgator, My3gb or

Now log into your account and go to the file manager

Now download the zip file: Tracking Zip File.

Now extract the file and you will see three files in the extracted folder.

Now upload all three files to the root folder (public_html) of your hosting account's file manager.

Now send the hosting link to the suspect you want to track (your link will be like Techhacks.my3gb.com etc).

Now the tracking details will be saved in the text file of your root folder, which you should keep checking this file for the details.
