## How to Use a HomePod as the Default Speaker for Apple TV - Guide

start the Home application.

Tap the Home icon (on iPad or Mac, skip to the next step).

Tap the name of the room your Apple TV is assigned to.

Tap and hold your Apple TV.

Tap the Settings icon.

Tap Default Audio Output.

Select the HomePod you want to use with one tap.

Only HomePods assigned to the same room as Apple TV will be available for selection.

HomePods in a stereo pair are also available for use as a standard speaker.

Tap Back after selecting your HomePod.

tap the X button to save your selection.
