## How to Use the Walkie Talkie Feature on Teams - Guide

Microsoft Teams Users Can Now Use Walkie Talkie on Android, iOS and Zebra mobile devices.  The feature was introduced some time ago but was only available to Android users.  It is now also available to regular Microsoft Teams users.  It allows users to communicate with each other at work or in the field.  Read on to learn more about Microsoft Teams Walkie Talkie feature and how to enable it.  According to Microsoft's official blog, "With Walkie Talkie in Teams, field workers can now securely communicate with the PTT experience they're used to without having to carry bulky radios, and Walkie Talkie works anywhere with Wi-Fi or cellular Internet connectivity”.

In addition to Android and iOS devices, Walkie Talkie feature of Microsoft Teams is now available on Zebra phones.  Microsoft Teams Walkie Talkie works with push-to-talk communication technology.  This feature allows users to communicate with other users on the same channel.  Microsoft says that "only users who connect to Walkie-Talkie on a channel become participants and can communicate with each other via push-to-talk, one at a time."  The feature works on both cellular data and Wi-Fi connections.

## How to    Use the Walkie Talkie Feature in teams

Pin the app to the navigation bar for easy access if not already present.  To fix, slide up in the bottom navigation and tap edit.

Drag the walkie talkie from more apps to the navigation bar.

Click on the walkie talkie and choose a channel.  You can only connect to a single channel at a time.

After opening channels, you can see the list of all channels present nearby.  Choose the desired channel and press connect.  Now you can talk and listen to the connected channel.

The participant icon allows you to see how many people are connected to the specific channel, including you.  You can also check who is logged in using the same icon.

even if your phone is locked, you can still access the walkie talkie if you are connected to someone else.  To use Push to Talk (PTT) button given on some devices that help you speak and listen.
