A new report claims that an Apple iPhone 6 exploded this week during a hands free phone call. A Gurgaon restaurateur, K. Yadav has filed an FIR claiming that his Apple iPhone 6 caught fire and exploded instantly while he was talking to his friend, Times of India reports .
The user luckily escaped the incident unscathed as he was talking on hands free mode. While driving, K. Yadav was talking to his friend, when he all of a sudden seen sparks flying out of the smartphone. He instantly threw his 64GB grey Apple iPhone 6 out of the window, only to see it explode and caught fire soon after.
“My face could have got burned because the phone exploded in a matter of seconds. When I threw the iPhone, the call was on and the battery was around 70%,” K. Yadav told.

After contacting the shop where he purchased the device, he was directed to Apple’s service center. The peoples at Apple’s service center refused to take his complaint and requested him to deposit the smartphone with them for testing.
The smartphone was purchased by Yadav just last week, & he has filed a police complaint demanding swift action. One other similar Apple iPhone 6 blow up case was registered in Long Island, US where the iPhone exploded within the user’s pocket, giving him 3rd degree burns.
However, this is apparently the 1st time an Apple iPhone 6 has exploded in India since the device launched last year.
