WeatherSignal – The Barometer for iPhone: Review And Features

Description of WeatherSignal – The Barometer for iPhone Review

WeatherSignal is a project to improve weather forecasting through a crowdsourced network of cell phone sensors. Pressure measurements are immensely important to the weather forecast, so collecting the readings from the iPhone helps us create the world's most detailed live map of atmospheric conditions. The data you share with us is used by atmospheric scientists worldwide to improve the predictions. The y can be seen on and in this app on our live weather map. We believe that mobile phones can be one of the most important scientific instruments of the future. If you participate in it, you can help to participate in a brand new scientific company – and you get a barometer that you can take anywhere!

For iPhone 6 and 6+ users: we turn your phone into a personal barometer! You'll be able to see the current pressure, see how the pressure rises and falls as the weather changes, and add data to our crowdsourced weather network. You can see nearby pressure readings from other WeatherSignal users and see your own on the maps in-app and on our website. Use WeatherSignal as your personal weather station and help us improve the weather forecast by using smartphone pressure measurements.

For iPod and iPhone 3, 4 and 5 users: Unfortunately, your devices do not contain barometers, so you can not make pressure measurements. However, with the app, you can see the readings of other WeatherSignal devices around the world, so you can use the world's first iPhone weather network. Apple has only included barometers in the iPhone range with the 6 and 6+, which is why we now only bring WeatherSignal to iOS!
