Coolpad Rogue- Introduction
Chinese smartphone vendor Coolpad has announced a new, ultra budget-friendly smartphone. Dubbed Rogue, the device is priced at $50. Specs-wise, the handset is powered by a dual-core 1.1GHz Snapdragon processor and sports a 4.0″inch WVGA display. Coolpad comes with 1GB RAM and 4GB internal memory, which is expandable up to 32GB. Rogue options a 2MP rear unit and a VGA entrance shooter. It offers LTE support (2, 4, 12, AWS3 bands) and runs a customized version of Android 5.1 Lollipop OS.
Coolpad Rogue- Design & Display
The Rogue has a 4.0-inch display, placing it on the short end of phones released. Display sharpness can be measured in the density of pixels per square inch of screen, and at 233 PPI, it’s the bit dull for a display in a phone from 2015.
Coolpad Rogue- Camera
The Rogue has a 2-megapixel rear camera, which won’t capture excellent photos. Its 0.3-megapixel front camera makes it a below average phone for taking selfies.
Coolpad Rogue- Software
On the software side, the Coolpad Rogue runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, which is the fresh version of Android currently available. We wouldn’t get our hopes up for a timely update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow, if at all.
Coolpad Rogue- Hardware
The smartphone features a 1.1GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset with an Adreno 304GPU and 1GB of RAM. The Coolpad Rogue comes with just 4GB of internal storage, but you can expand it by up to 32GB via the microSD card slot.
