If you have been experienced constant offset on your Pixel 2 XLYou may not be the only one. We’ve learned this in recent weeks, when two prominent Android users, including Artem Russakovskii and Marquees Brownlee, detailed their experiences with the handset.
Google is aware of the problems and studies them. And if you encounter the problem, you can qualify for a complete replacement of the device. There is no official position of Google on these defective pixels, and it is likely that the problem only affects a limited number of users. But Russakovskii’s phone was so slow that he surprised the Googlers coming to his rescue:
The Google engineer and PR person just left after spending about 2 hours analyzing the laggy Pixel 2 XL.
Unlike a car that stops making noise when you take it to a mechanic, the phone was extremely laggy to the point that both of them were visibly surprised.

However, after Artem Russakovskii and Brownlee have made Pixel 2 XL stand out, it looks like Google is taking it very seriously. Google has identified three possible causes of the slowdown, one of which would require hardware replacements, the news comes from an anonymous source who informed Stephen Hall of 9to5Google:

Google will likely soon be offering patches to anyone concerned, including substitutes if they are guaranteed. If you think your Pixel 2 XL is out of step with its purchase level, you should probably contact Google for more information to see what is termed delay on the Pixel 2 XL.
As a reminder, the Pixel 3 series will be launched in a few months, you may wish to exchange your Pixel 2 against a new generation phone, regardless of whether the opportunity arises or not.
