Here is the closest picture of the potentially dangerous asteroid Bennu
The OSIRIS – REx spacecraft acquired the first image of the target asteroid Bennu on the 17 th August at a distance of 2 million km (17 km).

NASA OSIRIS-REx spacecraft It is near the end of the asteroid 101955 Bennu that is in danger, and the space agency intercepts the rocks of the universe and is preparing to take the house for research.

This is not the only random part of the cosmic debris that NASA chose for this mission.

Dr. Chief Investigator OSIRIS-REX Dante Lauretta told reporters at a telephone conference Friday that Bennu “has a high possibility of affecting the earth”. (OSIRIS – REx stands for Origins, spectrum interpretation, resource identification, security – Regolith Explorer)

Fortunately, when we talk about space objects, “not important” means “do not waste time”. Scientists estimate that the probability that Bennu will hit Earth between 2175 and 2196 is one in 2700.

OSIRIS-REx was launched in September 2016 and was close enough to shoot the first image of last week’s destination that appeared during a press conference last Friday. The spacecraft directed the camera to the asteroid on August 17 and photographed the closest picture of Bennu at a distance of 1.4 million miles (2.2 mile).
